Course Description

The online level 1 course is developed for the recording enthusiast that wishes to enter into the audio recording environment. You will be engaged by theory and practical assignments where different methods such as signal flow diagrams, interactive exercises, and video presentations will help you understand the audio disciplines needed for success.

The course duration is 6 months where you will need to input 5 hours per week. Other tasks will require you to practice and experiment on your own to understand certain principles.

  • DAW (Software program called “Reaper” which is a free version. The link will be available for you to download on enrolment)
  • Audio Interface (must have at least one mic input and outputs for speakers/monitors)
  • Microphone and mic cable (This can be a dynamic or condenser microphone)
