The Modern-Day Filmmaker:
Master Storytelling, Film Production and AI Techniques from a Feature Film Expert

Course Description

The Modern-Day Filmmaker is a practical, hands-on filmmaking course that takes learners through the complete filmmakers journey, from story development and scriptwriting to cinematography, editing and AI-assisted content creation. Drawing on over 22 years of professional production experience in feature films, television and digital content production, the course combines proven industry techniques with emerging AI workflows, giving participants the skills to create compelling visual stories using both traditional and modern production methods.

Why Choose this Course?

Over six weeks, participants will develop and produce their own short film while learning the core principles of professional filmmaking. The programme covers visual storytelling, scripting, script breakdowns, scheduling, storyboarding, camera language, lighting, directing, sound and editing before progressing into AI-powered workflows for concept development, prompting, shot creation, visual consistency and post-production. By the end of the course, learners will have completed a finished short film and gained a practical understanding of how foundational filmmaking skills can be combined with AI tools to streamline production and enhance creative possibilities without compromising storytelling quality.
